Um, I almost wrote Brian....that one's for you love!

Hello, happy Friday!

Not really sure why, but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed lately and I have A LOT of schtuff  floating around my head, and I feel the need to purge....You are welcome.

Maggie:
- Manana=Banana....it's one letter kid, you say "ball", so why does this word get an "m"....honestly, don't care, it's cuter than cute
- Started singing Fun's "We are Young" the other day in the car.  Now sometimes she just randomly starts belting out, "Tonight....We are young!!!!".
- Random counting and singing of the alphabet all the time.  We have started to include the beginning of the alphabet, but "defg" are still dead to us...(Oh and someone called me out on the whole "we" thing the other day and I don't really mean her and me....sorry if it annoys you, that's the way I like to talk, sue me....LOL)
- Ok, ok I am going to admit a little obsession here....I want my daughter to wear head to toe Disney while we're at Disney, with the main attraction being Minnie....the issue is the girl doesn't even acknowledge Minnie, she calls her either Mickey or Daisy when she sees her....oh well, she'll learn to love her (said in crazy, menacing voice with evil laugh, that I can't do in real life if you paid me).

 Picked up this little piece of adorableness at Walmart for $7...I have been loving the romper trend, and slap a Minnie on it and I am sold!

Yep, that would be flip flops, sunhat, water shoes, and TWO pairs of sunglasses, that I picked up today at The Disney Store, where they are having a HUGE swim sale, for only $8 out of pocket, because I had a gift card from Christmas!  Now ask me if she has a Minnie bathing suit to match all these accessories...oops... I guess we're NOT going for overkill?

Guess it's time for an intervention....

- Little Missy has been a lot more adventurous lately and this includes: climbing up on the couch and getting down, climbing up the stairs at the park and walking down them, and actually going on the swings, but only the "big kid" one and with Mommy. 

Me:

- Maggie REALLY loves playing with my computer mouse when I'm not looking, and by "playing with", I mean smacking it on the computer desk repeatedly, and now it's not working right...frustrating.

- I'm down 35 lbs and I am in that frustrating place where my clothes are too big and the next size would involve me buying new clothes, which I don't want to spend money on right now.  I want to wait till I am at my goal, but I am starting to struggle with the scale and I'm not sure what exactly to do.

- Don't hate me, but I kind of love this song. And I dedicate to my hubs, awkward dancing and all...

- I am so excited to go to the beach next weekend, you have no idea....

- There is a big part of me that is anxious about our Disney trip because I have this sinking feeling that if I don't plan things well enough, that I will regret it later.  I want this trip to be so memorable for Mags, but once again, I have to get it through my skull that she will be only two...there is really no way she will remember any of it....

- I am also really loving this cover (less hate?).

- I would like to get together a Summer Reading list for myself, any suggestions?

Alright, I think that's enough for now.  I actually feel a little better.

Oh Maggie....

Hello!  Happy Wednesday!

Couple more things to remember....

- How she likes to tell me in the morning that she has poopoo'ed or peepee'd and she points to where it is....Thanks kid, I wasn't sure...LOL

- The other night right after we put her to bed, I heard her over the monitor, real pitiful, "Mommy, Daddy, Mommy...".  I opened the door and she greeted me with a HUGE smile and said, "There she is!!!!"....stinker.

- The other day coming home in the car, we were listening to the radio and Adele's "Someone like you" came on...Doesn't Maggie sing the entire chorus, all on her own...I would love to get it on film, but she hasn't done it since...of course....LOL

- You have started to identify numbers and letters in the everyday..  I'd say your right about 80% of the time...

- Now when you "play" phone, you actually talk on it, and say, "Uhuh, uhuh, uhuh, bye"...That would be your father, Mister I Hate to Talk on the Phone....

- You started a hug movement the other day at Library story time.  You started hugging kids and they started hugging other kids, it was quite a sight...such a trendsetter.

- When you knock something over, accidentally or on purpose, you say "oppy daisy"..."oopsy daisy"...

Please child don't get any cuter....I can't handle it....LOL

First Popsicle...it was a LITTLE cold...LOL

I promise she's not crying, just reacting to the cold....LOL

Our Summer Kick Off

So I've been hinting about this amazing weekend for quite some time, so here are the deets....

The weekend started with really no plans whatsoever.  We had our normal bi-weekly cheesesteak dinner and we watched "Thor" (Eh it was ok...better than Captain America, IMO).
Then I noticed on FB that one of my friends was having a rough time, so I offered some Maggie time, and we made plans for Saturday.

During the day Saturday, we had to go to a work thing for the hubs.  It wasn't too bad, but the timing for Mag's schedule wasn't that great, but we made the most of it.  She had fun, like she always does.  She loved running around and dancing to the school band. 

 

 

 

After that we treated ourselves to some California Tortilla.  They have some of the best nachos I have ever had.  Mags really enjoyed her chicken quesadilla.  Her kid's meal came with a brownie, and we decided to split it.  I took it out of the bag and Maggie's eyes lit up, and she said, "Ooooh, what's that???", like she had no idea.  But I asked her and she said chocolate...the girl's no fool!!!

 

Pretty soon after we got home, our friends came over and had some fun with Mags.  After she went to bed, we played some games.  First, we played Lego Creationist, which was interesting, and then we played Sour Apples to Apples.  I had never played the "Sour" version, and it was SOOOOOO much fun.  I love the original version, but this ones has a twist, that makes it so much fun!!!

Sunday, we had an impromptu cookout at the in-laws.  Yummy burgers, chili dogs and avocado dip,  were quite a delicious treat.

 

 

Then Brian's came over to visit and brought a special treat for Maggie, a Little Tikes princess coupe hand me down, from their neighbors. Mags was in heaven!!!

 

It was an awesome weekend all around.  The weather was pretty great, too and it really did feel like a summer kick off, even though it was the last weekend in April.  If it was a preview, then I can't wait for the real thing!!!

Sunday Funday

 Hello everyone!  Hope that you are having a great Sunday!


We are having a much needed day of rest.  Just hanging out and having some family time!  I really enjoy going out and having fun with friends, but I also really cherish these days that we use to recharge.  Sometimes it seems like we have super full weekends, or nothing at all.  That is definitely the case for the next couple of upcoming weekends!   


These lazy days are really helpful in the summer months, because we normally have so much going on.  We like to take time to visit friends and family, and we have a very special birthday in July!  This year we even get to go to Disney!  We could really use some Ebay cash to help sponsor all these fun events!!!  Wish I had some stuff to get rid of, but I don't think anyone wants our old stuff...LOL!

I still haven't gotten you up to speed about the awesome weekend we had LAST weekend, and then this weekend, although chill, was a lot of fun too!  I have to get on the ball!!
