Your Three Words

Royal Wedding Hoopla

I did NOT get up at 4am this morning to watch the Royal Wedding. I am a pop culture junkie, but I also know that they are going to play the heck out of this wedding and although I didn't watch it happen live, I will be able to see it all eventually.

I did turn it on when we got up this morning and I do have to say that Kate's dress was beautiful. I love that she modeled it after Grace Kelly's....very classy.

It is really interesting to see everyone to get all wrapped up in the craziness. Looks like it got a hold of little Maggers as well...

Wow, look at what Princess Maggie is wearing.....

It looks like she has decided to break with wedding tradition and go for a pink ensemble....

It looks like the Princess is really enjoying her day!

Cool, she can really get down!!!!

And above all, she seems to be having fun.

LOL.....isn't she crazy???

So we are heading out today to go down South for my cousin's wedding tomorrow. Funny story...when my cousin found out that the royal wedding was the day before her wedding she posted on Facebook "Oh great the royal wedding is the day before my wedding...". Brian, with his dry wit, replied when I relayed this to him, "What is she afraid some of her guests won't be able to make it because they'll be in England?" Man, I love him!

Hope that you have a great weekend!!!!

Wordful Wednesday

39 weeks....Maggie celebrated 39 weeks yesterday. It makes me reminisce about what was happening when I was 39 weeks pregnant with the Magster. It was my last week of pregnancy (so I thought) and I was spending it home relaxing. I spent those days sleeping in (as much as I could), watching movies and letting my anxiety run a muck. I never in a million years could have imagined that it would all be this wonderful!

And now here we are and today, Maggie also celebrates 9 months. 9 MONTHS PEOPLE!!!!! We are 3/4th of the way to a year. Can you believe it? Nope, me neither!

So what have been up to this month???
- Easter was pretty eventful, tried your first pickle (love at first lick) and started really getting"So Big".
- You love to sit and play with all your toys and your faves are the ones that make noise. On your exersaucer you love the "B" button and the music it plays, and you will play it over and over and over again.
- You still love your exersaucer and your jumper, but you were introduced to a hybrid at a playdate yesterday and it was love at first bounce....we may have to go over to that house more often (also because Julie and Connor are such a great hosts!!!!).
- We introduced meats this month, which you weren't that thrilled about and for now we seem to be having more luck with the meat combos. But of them all, I think the Mac n' Cheese is your fave (yep, you're mine).
- No forward movement in the crawling department, but you have mastered the backward push. Also, you are getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth, you really seem to want to get moving!
- You have been standing very well with some assistance and you always seem to want to drop one of Mommy's hands, so you only have one hand of help, and you have pretty good balance. In other standing news, the new fun trick is standing on the couch and looking over the cushion, out the window. You stand there for quite some time really mesmerized.
- We went to the park for the first time this month and you weren't too sure of it all. You weren't upset, but it was a lot to take in. The second time we went, it all clicked and you realized that swinging is the coolest thing ever. You laughed, giggled and squealed the whole time. I think we will be frequent park goers!

WOW that was quite a month little sweetie. I really can't believe how much you grow and change in just a matter of weeks. You are so smart and happy, and you make me so proud. I am so lucky to be your mommy!

As for stats, we head to the Drs. May 5th, so I will update you then. I am really interested to see what's been going on in that department and how much you have grown.

And now on to the pictures.....

Being a standing fool!

So Big!!!!

Oh my little girl it has been an amazing ride so far....I can't wait to see what the future has in store. Love you!

And to everyone else, I hope you are having a great Wednesday!

And it was good....

Really not much more to say other than Easter was a HUGE success. Don't believe me??? Look for yourself....(WARNING: Major Photo-dump)

Highlights of the day (other than hanging out with family and it generally being a great day):

-Trying the first pickle, with nary a pucker face. She LOVED it and got pretty upset when I took it away after she tried to shove the whole thing in her mouth (and she never gets upset when we take something away for whatever reason).

- Pretty much mastered "So Big". Mommy just couldn't seem to get on the ball and get a picture of it. The last two pictures above are after the fact.

- And yes, Maggie did have three different hair accessories....the hat was for the brief periods outside (and it was SUPER sunny), we had bunny ears and our headband with flower (which doesn't look as ridiculous now that our head has gotten bigger).

Like I said, it was a wonderful day! Hope you're having a great Monday!

Here comes Cottontail.....

PS: If anyone was wondering if I was able to fit everything in the basket, I totally did (the big toy doesn't count). Mad skillz here!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Your Three Words

So here is Mag's Easter basket all ready to be filled up. And what are we filling it with?

This will all fit in there, right???

So what do we have? (L-R) Gymboree bubbles (Maggie's favorite at Little Gym), the obligatory bunny ears, beach bucket and shovel, plastic eggs, sidewalk chalk, hairbows (I think she is starting to grow out of the ones she currently has, hope these fit), books, bath toys and a "Poppin' pals" toy ( I have always wanted this toy for her, so happy for her to have it....it is actually a toy that I remember from my childhood that I really loved and I hope she likes it as well). I'll have to take another pic when I actually attempt to fit all of this in the basket. Should be interesting....LOL

Now don't get too concerned....we didn't go into debt with this loot. The majority of the stuff is from the dollar store. We really lucked out there.

So what's in store for our first Easter weekend??? Well I was supposed to start this morning with my Stroller Bootcamp (yea I'm a glutton for punishment) but it was canceled due to lack of interest. Oh well, I am still proud of myself....I have been trying to increase my physical activity every week and even without today's Bootcamp (aka torture....j/k), I have already been active twice this week. Last week I went on one walk with Mags and then had the Bootcamp. This week I went on two walks with the Maggers. One was a walk/jog and last night we headed up to the park at a brisk pace. Next week my goal is at least two walks and then Bootcamp. I have also increased my water intake, which has really made me feel better. We shall see.....

Back to our plans. My sister is coming over today to hang out and we are planning a quiet evening. Then tomorrow, she and I are heading out to our future sister-in-law's bridal shower. Finally for Easter we are heading over to Brian's grandparents. Lots of fun.

What are your plans for the weekend? Hope you have a great one!

Spring Break

When I was in elementary school there was so much fun and anticipation surrounding spring break. It was such a welcome vacation after the hibernation during the cold and dreary winter. An entire week to relax and sleep in. Play with friends and play outside.
When I got to high school, they stopped giving us a week off and I have never had it that good since. Until this year. This year, the hubs is off for the entire week and we couldn't be more excited.

We started our fun with a stupendous weekend. On Friday, Hubs got home early and we had our customary cheesesteaks and movie night. We watched "Taken" for the umpteenth time and even after multiple viewings it still kicks some major tushie!
Saturday's awesomeness was only slightly diminished by the fact that it poured ALL day. Normally that wouldn't bother me, but of course we had to go out in it. Our friends were throwing a party to celebrate their boys' birthdays and the fact that they are moving to NC. We are so sad to see them go, but we are happy that they moving to their dream location! Mags was pretty good, despite the fact that she was missing a nap while we were there. She fussed a little bit, but for the most part she was her charming little self.

With our daddy... all dressed up and ready to go. Doesn't she looked thrilled to be having her picture taken, AGAIN??

LOVE this pic! Total proof that we have a Daddy's girl on our hands!!!!

Hanging out with Aaron and all his cool toys.

Isn't Aaron such a cutie pie??

Totally zoned out because we are uber tired. I really think she looks like me in this pic....

Sunday was our day of rest and we kept reveling in the fact that Brian didn't have to go to work the next day. Completely made Sunday a much more enjoyable day.

This weekend was so much fun and the week looks to be shaping up to be a rollicking good time as well. Today and tomorrow are pretty chill and then the rest of the week is a whirlwind. We have the Little Gym on Wednesday (which Daddy has agreed to go to....YAY!!!!), Thursday we have another play-date, Friday is Stroller Bootcamp in the morning (oh man the first one was torture, hopefully it won't be as hard this week) and a little get together at our house with some friends that night, Saturday I have my (soon to be) sister-in-law's bridal shower and then Sunday, of course, is Easter. Whew....I got tired just writing all of that! LOL

So I am off to relax to shore up some energy for the upcoming craziness. Oh and just a little aside.....Maggie's birthday??? 100 days away! Can you believe it? Mind. BLOWN.

Hope you're having a marvelous Monday!

5 Question Friday

1.
What is your favorite sign of spring?
The warm weather is definitely my favorite sign of spring. Also the flowers, more sunlight and the fact that summer is on the horizon.

2. What was your best birthday ever?
I would have to say that my 30th birthday, this year, was my best birthday ever. I was surrounded by my family and it felt so good to be a mom.

3. What is your favorite dessert?
Oh this is a tough one because I LOVE sweets, but if I have to choose a favorite dessert, it would be anything peanut butter and chocolate. I love chocolate peanut butter pies the best. Peanut butter and chocolate ice cream, comes in a close second.

4. What is the best excuse you've ever used to get out of a ticket?
Unfortunately I have never gotten out of a ticket. I have thought about crying or making up an excuse, but I always chicken out. It stinks! LOL

5. Do you wake up before your alarm, with your alarm, or after hitting snooze several times?
These days my alarm is Maggie and it is rare that I wake up before her and as far as I can tell she does not have a snooze button. When she was younger and slept in our room, sometimes I could give her back her pacifier and she would go back to sleep, but I don't think that really works anymore.....

Want to see a couple silly pictures of my alarm clock???

My flash is sooo strong, it is really hard for me to get a pic with her eyes open all the way.....LOL

This weekend is going to be pretty quiet. We are going over to a friend's house tomorrow for a little party, but other than that, just more snuggling and relaxing. And for us, the weekend doesn't end on Monday, because Brian is on Spring Break! YAYYYYYY!!!! He gets the WHOLE week off. We are so happy to have our daddy home with us!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Your Three Words

So even though Spring officially began about a month ago, Mother Nature hasn't exactly been cooperating....until now.

It all began with a relatively beautiful weekend. The sun wasn't on perma-shine, but it was nice nonetheless. Friday, we had a relaxed evening and watched "The Black Swan" (which I highly recommend). Then Saturday we headed over to the hub's school for their Spring Fest. It was at that time we realized that Mag's tooth had finally popped through. It is just the tippy top of the tooth, but we both felt it and it is there. Mags had been up in the middle of the night and I was curious, but it wasn't confirmed till we were sitting there at the variety show.....too funny. Then we went home and continued relaxing. I didn't get any pics of Mags at the actual event, but she looked so cute I had to have a little photo shoot before she went to bed....

Then on Sunday we didn't have anything pressing so we jumped in the car and did some Easter shopping (can't wait to show you the finished product). Then after Mags had some dinner we went for a walk to the local park and Maggie went on the swings for the first time. It was so much fun. I was a little overcast, so we had the entire space to ourselves. It was all pretty new and different, so I'm not sure what Mags thought.

We had so much fun with our silly pants!

And then today is just beautiful, so we had to go out and partake. Daddy suggested that we see what Mags thought about the grass. Unfortunately I couldn't put her directly on it because the ground was a little wet, but she did explore a little bit.

All in all, a fun time. Hope you are enjoying this beautiful Monday!
