Zenni Optical Review
Zenni Optical has affordable eyeglasses that can suit almost any style. There are so many styles to choose from. They have this really great feature on their website that allows you to configure a face that is similar to yours, so that you can virtually try on the many different types of glasses that they have available. You can even order your glasses with tint for fashion or sunglasses.
Right now Zenni is offering a crazy buy 2 pairs get one free promotion. This is there biggest promotion ever and it is a limited time offer. And if that wasn't enough they are also offering $6.95 prescription eyeglasses. Even someone who doesn't wear glasses, I can tell that is a great deal!

My dilemma
I have a little dilemma that I would love to share with you all today. I love shopping, don't get me wrong, but when it comes to gift shopping, I despise it. It's not because I am a selfish person that doesn't want to give gifts, it's just that I always worry that I am not getting the right gift. Christmas is a very stressful time for me because I want to get a nice gift for everyone, but I can't spend too much money.
A lot of times I try to think about gift giving from my perspective. If I was this person, what would I want as a gift? Recently, I have loved gifts that are things that I don't want to buy for myself. A couple of years ago, my Mom gave me a vacuum. Honestly, at first, I wasn't the biggest fan, but now I am so grateful for that gift, because I don't have to spend my money on a vacuum! I love stocking stuffers that include deodorant, shaving cream and toothpaste. Gum is another favorite. It is a great thing to have, but a nuisance to have to buy.
Another thing that I have been loving lately, are gift cards for more practical things. Not that clothing gift cards aren't practical, but a gift card to the grocery store? Now that is awesome! I would love Giant Eagle gift cards. We shop at Giant every week, and if I could have a few gift cards, that would really help me out! My other favorite gift certificate this year was for my hair saloon. Again, something that I "have" to spend money on, so a gift certificate is really great!
Definitely some things to think about. Luckily, I don't have a lot of gift shopping to do for awhile!
Have a wonderful rest of your day!!!

Weekend/Pinterest Monday
Hope you had a marvelous weekend!
So what were you up to this weekend? After traveling last weekend, we laid really low this weekend.
Friday night was all about yummy cheese steaks and catching up on our fave shows.
Saturday was about hanging out, playing with Magster and we watched "Paranormal Activity 2". I find that it really helps (if you're not a huge scary movie fan) to read the Wikipedia about the movie before you watch, and have it open while you're watching, so there aren't really THAT many surprises...Brian says that I am silly....
Sunday I got to sleep in (love ya hubby), we had some delish egg sandwiches and then we ran some errands. Sunday night was a relaxing time, split between the Oscars and Pinterest. It was so interesting to see the dresses from the red carpet, appear in the Pinterest feed almost instantaneously! Here are some of my faves....

Isn't Michelle Willams stunning? I love everything about this!!!!

But my night wasn't just about drooling over Oscar dresses, I pinned a few other fun things as well!!

What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?

Weekend Recap
So Friday, we "slept in" (completely different definition now that we are parents....), well I actually did let Bri really sleep in, since he was driving later that day. Then after lunch we headed Southwest to my dad's. We made it there without any incident (thankfully) and we met up with my dad at his office. After that, we headed to the house and had a pretty low key evening. Dinner and catching up, were the main attractions.
I LOVE the look on Tyson's face as Maggie is hugging him... "What is this little thing, and why does she keep mauling me??" But look how happy Maggie is...LOL
Hanging out with the doggies and Uncle Ben
Saturday, we had a leisurely morning and then while Mags was napping, Brian and I headed over to the outlets to take advantage of some serious sales. After that, we had some Starbucks and then headed back. After dinner, we went out with my brother and his friend to some local bars and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I had a little bit too much fun and was paying for it on Sunday.
Reading with Uncle Bray
And now the promised videos....
Sunday I woke up feeling like death, but a nice shower and some coffee, eased the pain. (Man, this completely solidified for me that I am OLD!!! I have never been that hungover and will never be again....Darn you, Bud Platinum!!!!) We went out to breakfast and then after that, we just hung out a little bit. The ride was again, pretty uneventful, except for the uber delish Shamrock shakes that we treated ourselves too!!!
Yesterday, was another low key day, just how we like to end our weekends!
How was your weekend? Hope you are having a splendid Tuesday (that mostly feels like a Monday, but then when you realize it's not, you're like "YES"!)!!!

Monday Mingle
How was your weekend?
We had a lovely, relaxing weekend in.
At the library. This face is mid-whine, "Stop taking my picture and help me off the chair, now!". Love it!
Friday we had some pizza and I introduced the hubs to the wonder that is the Starbucks cakepop...so yummy!
Saturday, the hubs ran some errands and Mags and I hung out. Before Daddy left we tried a new activity, which I will share more about tomorrow...nothing too exciting, just think it deserves its own post.
Saturday night we watched Moneyball, and I definitely recommend it, even to non-sports fans, it is just a really smart, funny movie. Also, tried out Ben and Jerry's new flavor "What a cluster". Highly recommend, as well. Super delish!
Sunday, I went grocery shopping...oh the fun never stops. During nap time, I decided to give the series "Downton Abbey" a try and I am interested. I love that it is so proper and refined, and yet so scandalous! Oh and the accents are just divine!
Later that afternoon, Mags woke up from her nap in a super bad mood, which is so unlike her. She was really crying and upset. We have no idea what the issue was, but she had some water and after some super cuddles, it was like nothing had happened. Oh the mysterious toddler!
New fave book: "B is for Bear" Alphabet book. She loves the mirror at the end for "You". LOL!
Last night we tried out some night time diapers, because we have been having some issues with Maggie getting up in the middle of the night, and I thought that it might have something to do with a wet diaper. Because every time I go in to check on Mags, she has a very full diaper, so I change it, put her back down and usually she goes back to sleep. So we tried the new diaper last night and not only was she up, she wet through the diaper and her pjs!!!!!! UGH!!!!! Really going to have to figure this one out....
Hope you're having a great day!

A little bit about me.....
So normally I save the blog talk mainly for Maggie anecdotes, but I came across a link to this article on a fave blog, Bringing up Bumble, and I just had to share. This article talks about introversion and what it's like to be an introvert. Really interesting stuff!!!
This article just really encapsulates exactly who I am. I have always known that being around other people in social situations does not come easily to me, but my favorite line in this article is, "I'm okay, you're okay- just in small doses." And like the article says, it's not that I don't like people, it's just that being around people is something that for me takes more effort than for an extrovert, who feeds off of other people's energy.
I have even had some people, now friends, say that when we first met, I seemed bitchy or stand offish and I have to attribute that to my introversion. Again, like the article says, I am not necessarily shy, and I am a teacher, so I can get up in front of a large crowd and give presentations (pretty good ones, if I do say myself...LOL), but it's the small talk that trips me up and makes me uncomfortable. It is something that I am really trying hard to work on.
So back to Mags, as I have frequently said, I am pretty sure that she is a born extrovert. Not really sure how to handle that. I did read a pretty interesting article in Parents about it, and the whole topic is something that I will probably be researching more as she gets older and even more outgoing (is that possible???).
And completely off topic....this....

LOVE Ellen. LOVE JcPenney for loving Ellen and standing by her. And love that Ellen said that "Haters are my motivators!" Way to be Ellen!!! If you have no idea what this is all in reference to and you want to know more, go here.

It's a Love Story- {Link up w/ from Mrs. to Mama}
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
This year Brian and I will celebrate our 7th dating "anniversary" on March 18th, and our fourth wedding anniversary on October 11th. (eek, I forgot we had been together that long...feels like just yesterday, sweetie...LOL)
We met student teaching, and I always feel the need to clarify that we were BOTH student teaching (as in no teacher/student thing going on here). There were five English student teachers, and we all really hit it off. We fraternized quite a bit and sometimes we all hung out outside of school.
Brian really stole my heart during my lunch period, which was his planning period, but instead of planning he always seemed to be in the teacher's lounge with me. I remember that my lunches always seemed to fly by, sitting and talking with him. And sometimes he made me laugh so hard, with his "Celebrity Jeopardy" and "Holy Grail" impressions, that I was literally crying. One day he asked for my IM name and we started talking a lot and then he finally asked me out. I was ecstatic.
We got married in Chalfont, PA, in a large, traditional Catholic wedding, with a huge reception afterwards. We knew that we wanted to get married in the fall and we had the most beautiful day! It was truly idyllic!
Yes, we have nicknames and they are just way too silly to share. Sorry.
5. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
Honestly, there are a million things that I love about my man, but if I had to pick the top three, they would be:
-His humor/laugh. I love his sense of humor and I love to make him truly laugh. I frequently go out of my way to make him laugh because if he laughs, that means that it is really funny!
- His caring nature. Brian has a lot of friends, of both sexes, because he is an honest to goodness, good guy and people like to have him in their corner. He is always there for people when they need him and it makes me so proud!
Ugggh, this is tough picking only three, but...
- The father that he has become. I wasn't 100% percent sure how Brian really felt when we found out we were having a baby, because he keeps his emotions close, but this incident spoke volumes. And now, seeing him interact with our little silly one, it just makes me so happy and blessed to have snagged him!
6. Tell us how he proposed?
Brian proposed on September 15th, at a local park after a picnic lunch. It was low key and intimate and beautiful.
Brian is not an over the top kind of guy in any respect and that is one of the main reasons that I love him. If it were between these two choices, I would say teddy bear and flowers, because he has actually gotten me both over the years!
I am absolutely both. I LOVE the beach and love to spend quiet time there with the hubs, but I also cherish our quiet moments hanging in together!
I would love to be able to take the hubs to Ireland. Brian and I love the band U2 and I have a lot of Irish heritage, so this is one trip that we would both love to take!
This Valentine's day is a Tuesday, so it will pretty much be business as usual around here. We are celebrating our dating "anniversary" in March with a date night out, so that will probably be for V day as well.
Nah. When it comes to love and a great relationship, I got all I could ever hope for!
