This is what it's all about

Life is meant for weekends like this. Where the house falls to disarray and the laundry piles but you can't care because you're not there to notice. Where you get up at a reasonable hour, slurp down some cereal, gather your bags and point you car in the direction of Anywhere But Here.

Yesterday we spent the majority of the day checking out the construction on my in-laws beach house. Only a couple more weeks and that puppy is going to be finished and then it is ours to enjoy. So many of my childhood memories are wrapped up in summer nights in various beach towns and I can't wait to share those exciting experiences with the Magster. While we were there we ventured out on to the beach for Maggie's first beach exposure. The wind was a'whippin' and she had JUST fallen asleep when we go there, so she isn't the happiest camper in most of the pictures, but when we tell her about her first beach experience in years to come, it will be the recalled as ideal.

Then today we went to the Pumpkin Patch for Maggie's first pumpkin. Again, it was a little bright, so we didn't get too many smiles...

Daddy and Maggie were getting a little sick of Mommy's incessant photo taking

Finally a smile...not an easy task!

  • Day 17 – an art piece (drawing, sculpture, painting, etc)

I adore this statue and you would think living in Philadelphia I would have seen it in person, but no. Someday I will...
  • Day 18 – your wedding/future wedding/past wedding
As for my wedding, I just wrote about that for our 2nd anniversary and you can read about that here.
